The Survey on retrospective cataloguing projects in SBN
Between 2007 and 2012 the Institute promoted a survey of the Retrospective cataloguing projects in SBN started by the libraries participating in the cooperative SBN networks.
As early as March 1997, a coordination meeting on recovery activities identified the priorities, objectives, guidelines and methodology so as to establish the general principles underlying recovery projects. Thereafter, various hubs started surveying activities in order to collect data concerning the the main completed, ongoing, or planned retrospective cataloguing efforts.
The published list aims at making the results achieved over the years, thanks to the collaboration of all participating libraries, available to all users.
