The Technological Observatory for cultural heritage and activities (OTEBAC)
The Technological Observatory for cultural heritage and activities (OTEBAC) is a service managed by ICCU.
OTEBAC supports cultural institutes (museums, libraries, archives, superintendencies and other cultural institutions) on the development of websites, the creation of virtual exhibitions, the digitization process of cultural heritage and the dissemination of good practices.
OTEBAC supports cultural institutes that use the MOVIO software for virtual exhibitions and the CMS Museo&Web software and organizes periodic training sessions.
The Technological Observatory provides support to public cultural institutions for the achievement of the accessibility of websites on the basis of Law no. 4/2004, Provisions to facilitate the access of people with disabilities to computer tools (So called Stanca Law).
