Transcribathon: manuscripts from the First World War

The transcribathon is an activity for the transcription and annotation of manuscripts in digital format that can be enriched through external links, geotag and additional information.

The transcribathon organized by ICCU, in collaboration with Europeana Foundation, Facts & Files and Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Università di Roma Tre, had as its main object letters dating back to the period of the First World War, coming from the portal 14-18 Documents and images of the First World War managed by ICCU. The selected letters are part of the digital collections made available by the Museo storico della didattica Mauro Laeng and the Polo Museale della Campania.

This online activity was carried out through the devoted portal https://transcribathon.com/en/tutorial/tutorial-it/
