Within the European project DCH-RP (Digital Cultural Heritage – Roadmap for Preservation), ICCU has joined the IDEM Federation together with other partners.
The goals of IDEM are to create and support a shared framework with other Italian research and training institutions, in order to carry out a shared management of the access to the online resources offered by the various Federation members.
In order to achieve  these purposes, IDEM supports the development of a community based on mutual trust, so as to allow the partners to make appropriate decisions as regards access controls, on the basis of the information supplied by the partners themselves.

ICCU has been confirmed by the Federation through an evaluation process of the  methods related to assigning, managing and checking  access credentials to MIBACT services, supplied both to the personnel and the contributors (the same credits allowing access to the APE mail system).
Thanks to this validation, both the personnel and the contributors will be able to have access to the services offered by some of the Federation partners. Among these, videoconference  services are to be mentioned, as well as access to WI-FI areas and to some reserved online databases.

Users assistance
The contact person for supplying assistance to users as regards IDEM and authentication credentials is Andrea Giuliano.
The users’ identifying data will be exclusively forwarded to the Federation resources suppliers, in order to allow the fruition of the services themselves.

Such information is needed in order to receive the services required. Further information, regarded as not strictly necessary, shall not be forwarded. Furthermore, the forwarded information shall be processed by the service supplier according to law.
